Kenexa Corporation provides software, content and services that enable organizations to effectively recruit and retain employees. The Company’s solutions are built around a suite of software applications that automate talent acquisition and employee performance management practices. It offers the software applications that form the core of its solutions on an on-demand basis. It derives revenue primarily from two sources, subscription fees for its solutions and fees for discrete professional services. Its talent acquisition solutions consist of two components. The first component is its applicant tracking system, which automates and streamlines the recruiting process. The second component is its testing and assessment solutions. On April 2, 2008, the Company acquired Quorum International Holdings Limited (Quorum), a provider of recruitment process outsourcing services based in London, England.

Talent Acquisition Solution

The Kenexa Recruiter system is a Web-based talent acquisition system that streamlines and automates the entire recruiting process. Kenexa Recruiter includes features, such as converting its client's corporate Website into an interactive, branded career center where candidates can search and apply for jobs, update personal information and receive automatic notifications of available jobs of interest; integrates with its suite of testing and assessment technologies to identify candidates with the highest potential for success, automate clients talent acquisition model and workflow processes, intelligently search Internet job sites, corporate Websites, personal Web pages and own database of resumes to automatically capture both passive and active candidates and pull their resumes directly to the desktop, provide management with both standard and ad hoc reports to facilitate understanding of the status of clients talent acquisition programs and enables clients to post job openings to the free and fee-based Internet job boards.

The Kenexa Prove It! tool is an automated, easily configurable skills assessment tool that enables its clients to accurately identify qualified candidates. Integrating software with content, Kenexa Prove It! provides its clients with over 1000 skills assessments for clerical, software, call center, industrial, healthcare and technical jobs.

The Kenexa Selector tool is an automated, easily configurable candidate assessment tool that provides accurate performance predictions for hourly, sales and managerial positions. Kenexa Selector integrates its software with its content to elicit responses that reveal candidate personality, experience and problem-solving ability and then immediately translates this information into profiles of candidate strengths and weaknesses. The Kenexa Insight solution is a consulting-based solution that provides its clients with customized, research-based interviews that accurately and consistently identifies talented candidates for hire and promotion.

Kenexa Interview Builder tool is a software tool integrated with a reference library of proprietary content, including more than 1,200 interview questions and competency profiles. Kenexa’s employment branding offering is a consulting based solution used by customers to develop sourcing strategies to attract prospective employees by means of highlighting an organization’s corporate culture. Offerings include Company Career Web Site design, Recruitment Sourcing Strategy, Design and Execution, as well as Cultural Insight Surveys that can be used in all facets of employment branding, communication, change management, and mergers and acquisitions.

Employee Performance Management Solution

The Kenexa CareerTracker system is an employee performance management system that streamlines and automates the entire employee performance management process in order to improve employee retention and productivity. The Kenexa Career Tracker system consists of a suite of software applications complemented by content and consulting services that together support an ongoing performance appraisal process and continuous employee improvement.

The Kenexa Survey Technology enables its clients to conduct employee surveys that are easy to administer even though the underlying organizational requirements are extremely complex. Its survey technology consists of Surveys Online, a Web-based survey system; OrgMapper, an automated software system that simplifies the process of mapping an organization to ensure appropriate reporting capabilities and options; Survey Ordering System, an automated online system that accepts orders, distributes and tracks employee surveys for geographically distributed organizations; Kenexa Survey Scorecard, a software system that integrates data derived from its surveys into a secure, Web-based online portal, and Kenexa Online Dynamic Reporting, a flexible, secure, Web-based reporting tool for employee surveys.

The Multi-rater surveys combine software, content and consulting services to provide its clients with an outsourced competency assessment service, including design, administration and reporting. The Company's consultants assist its clients in designing, administering and analyzing employee engagement surveys. Kenexa conducts analyses that link survey results to business metrics. By linking the survey results to clients' performance variables, it can recommend actions for improved performance. The Company has documented the relationship between employee attitudes and business outcomes, such as customer satisfaction, employee retention and management effectiveness. Kenexa Learning Management (KLM) is a software tool that enables organizations to deliver, track and administer learning events, such as training and continuing education sessions.

Recruitment Process Outsourcing

Kenexa provides its clients with the option of outsourcing to the Company certain aspects of their staffing operations and recruiting campaigns, including the sourcing, recruiting, screening, assessment and on-boarding of employees. The Company's recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) services include process consulting, staffing department management services, onsite staffing professional support, multi-channel sourcing strategy development and execution, employee referral program administration, direct sourcing and project outsourcing. Its RPO services are provided in concert with its talent acquisition and employee performance management solutions, and Kenexa has developed technology for large volume sourcing, enabling the Company to provide these services in an efficient and scalable manner.
