The Company’s apparel and home fashions appeal to customers with style preferences ranging from classic to contemporary. As of January 31, 2009, the Company operated 1,004 stores in 48 states. In addition, it offers online shopping on its Website at www.Kohls.com. The Website offers key items, family apparel, and home merchandise. In April 2009, the Company announced the opening of 11 new stores in the United States, including its first in Alaska.

During the fiscal year ended January 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company launched many brands. The brands included Jumping Beans, opening price point brand in the children’s category; Bobby Flay, an expansion of the Food Network brand with celebrity talent, featuring Mediterranean influences, bold colors and rich textures; FILA Sport, performance and leisure apparel, footwear and accessories for women, men and children; ELLE, expansion of the brand of Women’s apparel to all stores; Abbey Dawn, a juniors’ lifestyle brand, and Gold Toe, a national hosiery brand.
