4 Dec 2013
Netlist, Inc. (Netlist), incorporated in June 2000, designs, manufactures and sells memory subsystems for datacenter server and high-performance computing and communications markets. Netlist’s memory subsystems consist of combinations of dynamic random access memory integrated circuits (DRAM ICs or DRAM), NAND flash memory (NAND), application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and other components assembled on printed circuit boards (PCBs). The Company primarily markets and sells its products to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers. Its solutions are targeted at applications where memory plays a key role in meeting system performance requirements. The Company’s products include HyperCloud, NVvault and Specialty Memory Modules and Flash-Based Products.
In November 2011, the Company introduced a 32 gigabyte two-virtual rank RDIMM integrating HyperCloud with its Planar-X technology. The new memory module enables up to 768 gigabyte of DRAM memory in next generation two-processor servers. NVvault products provide server and storage OEMs a solution for enhanced datacenter fault recovery. The Company manufactures all of its products at its facilities in Suzhou in the People's Republic of China. The Company acquires components and materials, such as ASICs, DRAM ICs and NAND directly from integrated circuit manufacturers and assembles them into finished subsystems.
The Company competes with STEC, SMART Modular Technologies, Inc., Viking Interworks, Hynix, Samsung, Micron, Inphi and IDT.
