Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (Navios Partners), incorporated on August 7, 2007, is an international owner and operator of dry cargo and container vessels. The Company is engaged in the seaborne transportation services of a range of dry cargo commodities, including iron ore, coal, grain and fertilizer, and also containers, chartering its vessels under medium to long-term charters. It focuses on providing seaborne shipping services under long-term time charters. Navios Partners controls approximately 12 Panamax vessels, over eight Capesize vessels, approximately three Ultra-Handymax vessels and over eight Container vessels. Its fleet of dry cargo vessels has an average age of over 8.7 years for drybulk and container vessels.
Panamax vessels are vessels capable of carrying a range of dry cargo commodities, including iron ore, coal, grain and fertilizer and being accommodated in various discharge ports. Capesize vessels are dedicated to the carriage of iron ore and coal. Ultra-Handymax vessels are similar to Panamax vessels although with less carrying capacity, and have self-loading and discharging gear on board to accommodate undeveloped ports. Container vessels are specifically constructed to transport containerized cargo.
The Company's owned drybulk vessels include Navios Apollon, Navios Soleil, Navios La Paix, Navios Gemini S, Navios Libra II, Navios Felicity, Navios Galaxy I, Navios Hyperion, Navios Alegria, Navios Orbiter, Navios Helios, Navios Sun, Navios Hope, Navios Sagittarius, Navios Harmony, Navios Fantastiks, Navios Pollux, Navios Fulvia, Navios Luz, Navios Buena Ventura and Navios Joy. The Company's owned container vessels include Hyundai Hong Kong, Hyundai Singapore, Hyundai Tokyo, Hyundai Shanghai, Hyundai Busan, YM Utmost and YM Unity. Its Charter-in Drybulk Vessels include Navios Prosperity and Navios Aldebaran.
