The Company's geothermal power plants are located in California, which include Ormesa complex, Heber Complex, Mammoth Complex and North Brawley; West Nevada, which include Steamboat complex and Brady Complex; East Nevada, including Tuscarora, Jersey Valley, McGinness Hills and Don A. Campbell; Hawaii, which include Puna, and international, which include Amatitlan, Zunil and Olkaria III Complex. The Company also owns and operates recovered energy generation (REG) power plants, which include OREG 1, OREG 2, OREG 3 and OREG 4.
The Company's Product Segment designs, manufactures and sells equipment for geothermal and recovered energy-based electricity generation, remote power units and other power generating units, and provide services relating to the engineering, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance of geothermal, and recovered energy-based power plants. It designs, manufactures and sells power units for geothermal electricity generation, which is referred to as Ormat Energy Converter (OECs). The Company offers OECs to contractors and geothermal power plant developers, owners and operators. The Company also offers power units used to generate electricity from recovered energy. It offers power units for recovered energy-based power generation to interstate natural gas pipeline owners and operators, gas processing plant owners and operators, cement plant owners and operators, and other companies engaged in other energy-intensive industrial processes. The Company engineers, procures and constructs, as engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor, geothermal and recovered energy power plants on a turnkey basis. The Company designs, manufactures and sells fossil fuel powered turbo-generators with capacities ranging from 200 watts to 5,000 watts. The Company offers turbo-generators to contractors installing gas pipelines in remote areas and off-shore platforms operators, and contractors. In addition, the Company designs, manufactures and sells generators, including heavy duty direct-current generators, for various other uses.
