Publicis Groupe SA (Publicis Groupe) is a France-based company engaged in the provision of advertising services, specialized agencies and marketing services (SAMS) and media services. Its primary activities include communications, media agency, and digital and healthcare communications. Its activities span 104 countries in five continents. Publicis Groupe offers local and international clients a complete range of advertising services through three global advertising networks: Leo Burnett, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, and two multi-hub networks, Fallon and 49%-owned Bartle Bogle Hegarty. During the year ended December 31, 2009, Publicis Groupe acquired the Razorfish companies from Microsoft Corporation. As of December 31, 2009, the Company owned 100% of the equity in Razorfish and its subsidiaries. In April 2010, the Company announced that it acquired In-Sync, a company involved in the customer insight space. In addition, in April 2010, the Company acquired the remaining capital of W&K, thereby increasing its ownership to 100%. In May 2010, the Company acquired Resolute Communications Ltd, which provides healthcare communications programs spanning consulting, medical education, and media and public relations. In July 2010, Publicis Groupe S.A. acquired G4, a full service advertising agency. In November 2010, the Company acquired Publicis Romania, Focus Advertising and Publicis Events. In December 2010, the Company acquired Digital District. In December 2010, the Company acquired Healthcare Consulting, a consulting firm focused on the healthcare sector. In February 2011, the Company acquired Holler. In February 2011, the Company has established a new subsidiary, Publicis Webformance. In March 2011, the Company acquired an integrated agency, Kitcatt Nohr. In March 2011, the Company acquired Airlock. In March 2011, the Company acquired a majority stake in a healthcare advertising agency in Mumbai, India-Watermelon Healthcare Communications Private Limited. On January 18, 2012, it acquired Mediagong, a French digital agency. On January 25, 2012, the Company acquired 100% of the Creative Factory (TCF), a marketing and advertising agency in Moscow and on February 1, 2012, it acquired Flip Media, a digital agency network in the Middle East. Effective July 15, 2013, Publicis Groupe SA acquired a minority stake in Jana Mobile Inc, developer of consumer rewards software. Effective August 14, 2013, Publicis Groupe SA acquired Engauge Marketing LLC, a provider of marketing and digital advertising services, from Halyard Capital. In November 2013, it announced the acquisition of ETO. In November 2013, it acquired 75.1 % of Walker Media from M&C Saatchi PLC. Effective December 3, 2013, Publicis Groupe SA acquired Synergize Digital Pty Ltd.
Media consultancy and buying is offered through two worldwide networks, Starcom MediaVest Group and ZenithOptimedia; and interactive and digital marketing led by Digitas and Razorfish. Publicis Groupe launched VivaKi to leverage the combined scale of the autonomous operations of Digitas, Razorfish, Starcom MediaVest Group, Denuo and ZenithOptimedia to develop new services, tools, and digital platforms. Publicis Groupe’s Specialized Agencies and Marketing Services offer healthcare communications, corporate and financial communications, sustainability communications, shopper marketing, public relations, customer relationship management (CRM) and direct marketing, event and sports marketing, and multicultural communications.
