Roc Oil Company Limited (ROC) is engaged in the oil and gas exploration, development and production. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company undertook and was involved in a number exploration, development and production operation activities. ROC's global portfolio covers approximately 121,000 square kilometer, of which some 58,000 square kilometer are net to ROC. The Company has assets in nine areas of interest, grouped into four main regions: Australia / New Zealand, Africa, China and the United Kingdom. During 2008, ROC's drilling programme included 15 exploration/appraisal wells in China, Angola, Australia and Mauritania, and more than a dozen development wells in China, Mauritania and the North Sea. Some of its wholly owned subsidiaries include Roc Oil (Gobi) Pty Limited, Elixir Corporation Pty Ltd, Anzon Energy Nigeria Roc Oil (WA) Pty Limited and Roc Oil (GB) Limited. On November 24, 2008, the Company completed the acquisition of Anzon Australia Limited.
