Saft Groupe SA is a France-based designer, developer and manufacturer of batteries for industrial use. The Company operates three divisions: Industrial Battery Group (IBG), Specialty Battery Group (SBG) and Rechargeable Battery Systems (RBS). The IBG division manufactures rechargeable nickel and lithium-based battery solutions for such applications as high-speed trains, urban transit networks, subways and trams, and storage for renewable energy. The SBG division specializes in the design and manufacture of primary lithium and rechargeable batteries for the electronics, defense and space industries. The RBS segment is focused on the professional market segments using nickel-based technologies. Saft Groupe SA is present in 18 countries worldwide with 16 manufacturing sites. The Company operates through such subsidiaries as SGH GmbH, Saft SA, Saft Hong Kong Ltd, Fast Jung KB and Saft Finance Sarl, among others.
