Santhera Pharmaceuticals Holding AG (Santhera) is a Swiss company focused on discovery, development and commercialization of small-molecule pharmaceutical products for the treatment of severe neuromuscular diseases. CATENA is Santhera’s first product approved in Canada for symptomatic treatment of Friedreich's ataxia. Santhera has five clinical-stage development programs, three of which investigate its core compound, SNT-MC17/idebenon, in the treatment of Friedreich’s ataxia, Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy.
