French Retail Banking
The Company's French Retail Banking segment includes the domestic networks Societe Generale, which is a national bank; Credit du Nord, which is a group of regional banks, and Boursorama, which is an online bank. It caters to individual customers, professionals, businesses, communities and organizations. Credit du Nord group consists of approximately eight regional banks, which include Courtois, Kolb, Laydernier, Nuger, Rhone-Alpes, Tarneaud, Credit du Nord and Societe Marseillaise de Credit. The Boursorama Group offers a range of online banking products and services, which include online banking, brokerage and financial information. Boursorama offers products and services, such as Easy Check, which is a check created online, and a budgeting tool in the personal banking page, which enables a customer to manage his accounts, including those in other banks. Boursorama offers private investors access to stock exchanges, as well as a range of financial products and services to manage their assets and savings products online. Boursorama is engaged in providing online financial information in France and Germany. Boursorama provides information on market developments, share prices and business profiles, among others.
International Retail Banking & Financial Services
The Company's International Retail Banking & Financial Services segment consists of international retail banking, which includes consumer finance activities, and corporate financial services and insurance, which consists of operational vehicle leasing and fleet management, equipment finance and insurance activities. International retail banking and consumer credit network is organized around three regions: Europe, Russia, and Africa/Asia/the Mediterranean/French overseas departments and territories. Societe Generale Insurance is engaged in general insurance and life insurance products through its companies in France, which include Sogecap and Sogessur.
Sogecap is a life insurance and savings company, which designs a range of insurance products for individual, professional and corporate customers, such as life insurance, retirement savings schemes and personal protection, among others. Sogessur is a property and casualty insurance provider. It offers a range of insurance products for individuals, such as auto and home insurance, personal accident and life insurance and school insurance, among others. Sogessur also insures the payment methods the Company provides to individual, professional and not-for-profit customers. Societe Generale Equipment Finance (SGEF) is engaged in equipment finance for a range of businesses, from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to large international companies. SGEF also supports equipment manufacturers and distributors working in the transport, industrial equipment and high-tech sectors by meeting their equipment and vendor financing needs. SGEF offers a range of products, such as financial leasing, loans, leasing and purchase of receivables, among others and services, such as insurance and truck leasing with services.
Global Banking and Investor Solutions
The Company's Global Banking and Investor Solutions segment comprises corporate and investment banking via the Global Markets and Financing & Advisory business lines; private banking and asset management, and investor services, such as securities services and brokerage. Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) acts as an intermediary between issuers and investors in activities, including investment banking, financing and market activities. The SG CIB corporate and investment bank is present in approximately 30 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific. SG CIB offers solutions to corporates, financial institutions and the public sector. SG CIB helps its customers in investments, strategic advisory services, capital raising and capital structure optimization. SG CIB offers global access to market via solutions in equities, fixed income and currencies, commodities and alternative investments. SG CIB develops advisory, investment and risk management solutions for the specific needs of each investor, supported by its equity derivatives franchise and activity in euro fixed income markets and cross-asset solutions. Societe Generale Private Banking offers wealth planning to high net worth Individuals, which include strategy in asset allocation, portfolio management, funds, markets and wealth management solutions.
