Saras SpA - Raffinerie Sarde is an Italy-based company active in the energy sector. It has three principal areas of activity. The first is oil-refining and the sale and distribution of a range of oil-based products, such as petrol, gasoline, mineral spirits, diesel and aviation fuel, to both domestic and international markets. The second is the production and sale of electrical energy, through affiliated company Sarlux Srl, which operates Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) plant, and through Parchi Eolici Ulassai Srl, which owns and operates a wind farm in the municipality of Ulassai in Sardinia. The third includes industrial engineering and scientific research services in the petroleum, petrochemical, energy and environment sectors, as well as information services. The Company carries out its own refining activities at its refinery in Sarroch, Sardegna. Its other subsidiaries are Saras Ricerche e Tecnologie SpA, Arcola Petrolifera SpA, Sarint SA Luxembourg, e Ensar Srl.
