The Company through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of healthcare products sold into consumer markets worldwide. SSL has operations in 35 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas, which sell into over 100 countries worldwide and also has manufacturing operations in India, Thailand, China and the United Kingdom. Its geographical segments comprised: United Kingdom and Continental Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific and Rest of the World. On December 31, 2008, it acquired Crest condom brand (comprising Crest and Hot Rubber condom, lubricant and devices brands) and associated customer relationships. In October 2009, it acquired Gainbridge Investments (Cyprus) Limited from CCD Estate.
