Swaraj Mazda Limited is a light commercial vehicle manufacturer operating in India. The Company manufactures vehicles for goods and passenger applications. In the passenger carrier category, the Company offers non-air conditioned and air conditioned bus models with capacity ranging from 10 to 41 seats. In the goods carrier category, the Company has eight truck models with gross vehicle mass (GVM) range of 6.1 tons to 7.5 tons in the light commercial vehicles (LCV) segment, and 8 tons to 12 tons in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment. In addition, the Company manufactures special application vehicles in the passenger and goods carrier categories, which include ambulances, troop carriers, dumper/garbage removal vehicles, water tankers, recovery vans and police vans. As of March 31, 2009, the Company had three manufacturing facilities located at its Nawanshahar plant in Punjab. In January 2009, Sumitomo Corporation acquired additional 14.04% interest in the Company.
