Telenor ASA provides voice, data, content and other communication services in 13 countries across Europe and Asia. The Company’s businesses in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Russia offer both mobile and fixed telecommunication services, while the other businesses offer mobile telecommunication services. In addition to the mobile and fixed operations, the Company’s core business comprises Telenor Broadcast, which provides television services. The Company has four segments: mobile communication, fixed line communication (Fixed), television-based activities (Broadcast), and others. On 17 March 2009, Telenor ASA announced the acquisition of a 33.5% ownership interest in Unitech Wireless.
