Telefonos de Mexico S.A.B. de C.V. owns and operates a fixed-line telecommunications system in Mexico. The Company also provides other telecommunications and telecommunications-related services, such as corporate networks, Internet access services, information network management, telephone and computer equipment sales, and interconnection services to other carriers. It has developed a multi-service network, in which approximately 94% of its lines have the capacity to provide simultaneous transmission of voice and data through a broadband connection. Of the Company’s revenues during the year ended December 31, 2008, 39.5% was attributable to local service, 19.8% to long-distance service, 15.4% to interconnection, 9.8% to corporate networks, and 10.6% to Internet access services. Other services, including primarily sales of computers, telephones and accessories at Telmex stores and billing and collection services to third parties, accounted for 4.9% of revenues.
