TGK-1 OAO (Territorial’naya generiruyushchaya kompaniya No 1 OAO or TGC-1 JSC or Territorial Generating Company No 1 JSC) is a Russia-based company, which is principally engaged in the generation of thermal and electric energy in the North-West Region of Russia. It operates through 55 generating stations in four regions of Russia: the City of Saint Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia, the Leningrad Region and the Murmansk Region. The Company’s assets include thermal, hydroelectric, diesel and co-generation power plants and the heating network of 940 kilometers.The Company sells its products on the domestic market, as well as exports them to Finland and Norway. It has two subsidiaries 84.06%-owned Murmanskaya TETs OAO and 100%-owned Severnaya energeticheskaya upravlyayushchaya kompaniya OAO.
