THT Heat Transfer Technology, Inc. (THT), formerly BTHC VIII, Inc, incorporated on August 7, 2006, is a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is a provider of heat exchange products. THT is engaged in the manufacturing and trading of plate heat exchangers and various related products. Through its China-based subsidiary, Siping City Juyuan Hanyang Plate Heat Exchanger Co. Ltd., the Company designs, manufactures and sells plate heat exchangers, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, heat exchanger units, other heat exchanger products, and provide total heat exchange solutions. Its other product includes air-cooled heat exchanger. On November 30, 2009, BTHC VIII, Inc. (BTHC) merged with THT. In July 2013, THT Heat Transfer Technology Inc announced that its operating subsidiary Siping Juyuan Hanyang Plate Heat Exchanger Co., Ltd. completed the acquisition of the remaining 25% ownership stake in Beijing Juyuan Hanyang Heat Exchange Equipment Co., Ltd.
The Company’s customers include China National Electric Equipment Corporation, Ningbo Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd., Five Rings Technology Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Wen Chong Shipyard Co. Ltd. and China Packaging and Food Machinery Corporation. THT’s manufacturing facilities are based in Siping City, Jilin Province, Northeast China. The Company’s indirect, wholly owned subsidiary also includes Beijing Juyuan Hanyang Heat Exchange Equipment Co., Ltd.
Plate Heat Exchangers
THT’s plate heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger that uses metal plates to transfer heat between two fluids. The plate heat exchanger consists of a coiled pipe containing one fluid that passes through a chamber containing another fluid. Plate heat exchangers are used in a variety of industries, including iron and steel, aluminum, chemical, electric power generation, nuclear power generation, central building air-conditioner, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company’s plate heat exchanger sales accounted for approximately 63% of its revenues.
Shell-and-tube Heat Exchanger
The Company’s shell-and-tube heat exchanger is a heat exchanger that consists of a shell (a large pressure vessel) with a bundle of tubes inside it. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are used in the same industries as that of plate heat exchangers. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers are primarily used in high-pressure liquids. During 2009, its shell-and-tube heat exchanger sales accounted for approximately 12% of the Company’s revenues.
Heat Exchanger Units
THT’s heat exchanger unit is a whole set of district heating control equipment. A heat exchanger unit integrates plate heat exchangers, circulating pump, water supplement pump, thermometer, manometer, various sensors, conduits, valves and industrial controls, water supplement system, stable pressure system, frequency conversion flux control system, heat measurement and network communication control system. During 2009, the Company’s sales of heat exchanger units accounted for approximately 17% of its revenues.
Air-cooled Heat Exchanger
The Company’s air-cooled heat exchanger is a pressure vessel, which cools a circulating fluid within finned tubes by forcing ambient air over the exterior of the tubes. During 2009, the Company’s sales of air-cooled heat exchangers accounted for 2% of its revenues.
Welded Plate Heat Exchanger
The Company’s welded plate heat exchanger is used for heat exchange between high-pressure fluids. During 2009, the Company’s welded plate heat exchangers accounted for 2% of its revenues.
Plate-and-Shell Heat Exchanger
THT’s plate-and-shell heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger that combines aspects of the plate heat exchanger with aspects of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger. Plate-and-shell heat exchangers consist of a shell, which is a large pressure vessel, with heat transfer plates inside of the shell. These products are used equipments, which are used in oil refining, chemical, fertilizer production and metallurgy industries. During 2009, the Company’s sales of plate-and-shell heat exchangers accounted for 1% of its total sales, and its other heat exchange products accounted for 3% of its revenues.
