TICC Capital Corp. (TICC), incorporated on July 21, 2003, is non-diversified, closed-end investment company. TICC is a specialty finance company principally providing capital to primarily non-public, small and medium-sized, technology-related companies. Its investment objective is to maximize its portfolio’s total return. The Company’s primary focus is on seeking current income by investing primarily in corporate debt securities. The Company’s debt investments may include bilateral loans (loans where it hold the entirety of a particular loan) and syndicated loans (those where multiple investors hold portions of that loan). The Company may also seek to provide its stockholders with long-term capital growth through the appreciation in the value of warrants or other equity instruments that it may receive when it makes debt investments, or equity investments. TICC may also invest in publicly traded debt and/or equity securities. TICC’s investment activities are managed by TICC Management, LLC.

The Company’s capital is used by its portfolio companies to finance organic growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations and working capital. As of December 31, 2011, the Company invested in a range of sectors, which include software, enterprise software, information technology (IT) value-added reseller, IT consulting, structured finance, healthcare, printing and publishing, building and development, semiconductor capital equipment, telecommunication services, food products manufacturer, interactive voice messaging services, financial intermediaries, auto parts manufacturer, advertising, retail, business services, computer hardware, packaging and glass, Web hosting, education, and cable/satellite television. As of December 31, 2011, TICC’s portfolio was invested approximately 74.1% in senior secured notes and bonds, 13.0% in collateralized loan obligation (CLO) debt, 10.0% in CLO equity, 1.3% in subordinated notes and 1.6% in equity. As of December 31, 2011, the Company’s 10 largest portfolio company investments included American Integration Technologies, LLC, Algorithmic Implementations, Inc, Pegasus Solutions, Inc., Nextag, Inc., Stratus Technologies, Inc, Endurance International Group, Inc., Decision Resources, LLC., Vision Solutions, Inc., Unitek Global Services, Inc. and AKQA, Inc.
