United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) is a Nigeria-based financial institution, offering a range of banking, assurance and wealth management products and services. Its banking solutions are Commercial Banking, encompassing energy banking, credits for companies active in a number of sectors; Global Treasury and Investment, including risk management and business optimization solutions and treasury shared services; Global Transaction Services, such as global payments, cash management and trade; Investment Banking, consisting of pension and asset management and stock broking; Retail Banking, containing mortgages, credit and debit cards, and Segment Banking. As of September, 2008, the Bank had 613 branches and retail outlets, 1,256 automated teller machines (ATM) and 3,296 point-of-sale machines in Nigeria.
