Unilever N.V., incorporated in 1927, is a fast moving consumer goods company. The Company operates through four segments: Personal Care, Foods, Home Care and Refreshment. Its Personal Care segment includes sales of skin care and hair care products, deodorants and oral care products. Its Foods segment includes sales of soups, bouillons, sauces, snacks, mayonnaise, salad dressings, margarines and spreads. Its Home Care segment includes sales of home care products, such as powders, liquids and capsules, soap bars and a range of cleaning products. Its Refreshment segment includes sales of ice cream and tea-based beverages. It has approximately 10 brands, which include AXE, Dove, Knorr, Lipton, Magnum, Omo, LUX, Rexona and Surf, among others.
The Company offers personal care products under various brands, including Dove, Axe, Lux, Rexona and Sunsilk. The Company also offers Prestige skin care brands Dermalogica, Kate Somerville, REN and Murad. In deodorants, the Company launched dry spray products across its brands in North America. In oral care, the Company offers Zendium in France and Italy. In hair, the Company rolled out Dove Advanced Hair Series globally and launched the TRESemme Perfectly (Un)done collection. The Company offers food products under various brands, including Knorr, Hellmann's, Rama, Becel and Maille. It offers home care products under various brands, including Omo, Surf, Sunlight, Domestos, Comfort and Pureit. The Company offers Omo range of pre and post-wash fabric cleaning additives and ancillaries in Brazil. It offers refreshment products under various brands, including Magnum, Heartbrand (Wall's) and Lipton tea. The Company has operations across Asia, Australasia, Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus; Americas, and Europe.
The Company competes with Nestle, Procter & Gamble, LOreal, Danone, KraftHeinz and Colgate-Palmolive.
