Profile: Visualant Inc (VSUL.PK)
Visualant, Inc., incorporated on October 8, 1998, designs ChromaID scanning devices made with electronic, optical and software parts to produce and capture light. The Company owns the ChromaID Technology. ChromaID technology pairs a set of light emitting diodes (LEDs) and matching detectors (photodiodes). Each LED is activated using a stepped array of input current to generate a specific pattern of light wavelengths. The photodiodes measure the intensity of the reflected light. The resulting spectral pattern is called a ChromaID Profile. ChromaID Technology is used to identify, detect, or diagnose materials that cannot be identified by the human eye. The Company's product, the ChromaID Lab Kit, scans and identifies solid surfaces. The Company markets ChromaID Lab Kit to commercial paint manufacturers, pharmaceutical equipment manufacturers, process control companies, currency paper and ink manufacturers, security card, reader, and scanner manufacturers and food processing companies, among others. The ChromaID Scanner Kit is used to identify ChromaID Signatures of substances and materials. The Kit includes software and a USB connecting cable.
