Visualant, Incorporated, incorporated on October 8, 1998, directs structured light at a material (solid surface, liquid or gas) to capture a ChromaID signature. The Company’s ChromaID signature can be used to identify, detect, or diagnose properties invisible to the human eye. It designs ChromaID Scanner devices made with electronic, optical and software parts to produce and capture the light. ChromaID scanner modules can be integrated into a variety of mobile or fixed-mount form factors. Its first product, the ChromaID F12 Lab Kit, scans and identifies solid surfaces. The Company has a Joint Development Agreement through December 31, 2013 with Sumitomo Precision Products Co., Ltd. (SPP), which focuses on the commercialization of the ChromaID technology and a license in identified Asian territories.
The Company’s product prototype is the hand-held Cyclops ChromaID Scanner. Cyclops is designed to capture ChromaID profiles of flat substances and compare these to a database of known substances. Through the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, TransTech Systems, Inc., it provides value added security and authentication solutions to corporate and government security and law enforcement markets throughout the United States.
