SunEdison, Inc., incorporated on October 1, 1984, is a renewable energy development company. The Company develops, finances, installs, owns and operates renewable power plants, and delivers electricity to its residential, commercial, government and utility customers. The Company provides customers with asset management, operations and maintenance, monitoring and reporting services.
The Company's asset management services include billing and reporting, finance and accounting, tax and audit services, vendor management and warranty claims management. Its coverage also include data acquisition, monitoring, alerts and response, field service, analysis, reporting and financial management. The Company also maintains a database of system performance and product information for its own products, as well as third-party components. The Company monitors a full range of components and systems within a solar installation, including weather stations, pyrometers, ambient temperature sensors, panel temperature sensors, inverters, string combiners and recombines. It maintains approximately three renewable operations centers (ROCs) to support and deliver a coverage of service operations.
The Company offers SunEdison Connect, a Web-based software application that gives access to data and services via an online monitoring portal. SunEdison Connect provides real-time data and gives a direct view into the performance of the system. On the client side, SunEdison Connect provides live access to an array of system data, including detailed tracking of energy production; measurement of environmental and economic savings; fleet, fund, and site views; invoice creation and printing, and local language support. Its operations and maintenance (O&M) services cover all electrical and mechanical components, including arrays, inverters, trackers, combiners, racking and wiring.
