Zep Inc., incorporated on July 27, 2007, is a consumable chemical packaged goods company, providing a variety of chemicals and related products and services that help professionals maintain, clean and protect their assets. The Company sells its products through a sales and service organization, to national and regional business-to-business distributors that target the transportation, industrial maintenance and janitorial and sanitation markets, and to home improvement stores and automotive after-market retailers. The Company manufactures its products at nine facilities located in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, and United Kingdom.
The Company’s product portfolio consists of three categories, including automotive cleaning and maintenance; equipment repair and maintenance; and Jan/San products. The Company’s transportation teams focus on selling maintenance and cleaning chemicals to vehicle wash operators including both car wash and fleet wash operators, such as Circle K, Penske Truck Rental and Ryder Truck Rental; automotive aftermarket retailers, such as Advance Auto Parts, Inc., AutoZone Parts Inc. and NAPA; automotive manufacturers, such as Kia Motors America, Inc., Subaru of America, Inc. and Toyota Motor Sales USA, Inc.; and other mass and specialty retailers with automotive maintenance and cleaning offerings, such as CarMax, Inc. Its Industrial Maintenance and Repair (MRO) teams focus on selling maintenance and cleaning chemicals to industrial customers in a variety of industries utilizing a combination of direct sales and service in addition to sales through distributors such as Fastenal Company and W.W. Grainger. The Company’s Jan/San and Institutional teams focus on selling maintenance and cleaning chemicals to a variety of customers. It utilizes a combination of direct sales and service, sales through distributors such as Bunzl, Fastenal Company, HD Supply, Interline Brands, Inc., Lagasse Inc., National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, TripleS, and W.W. Grainger Inc., and sales through retailers such as Canadian Tire, The Home Depot, Lowes, Meijer, Menard's, Tractor Supply Co. and Wal-Mart, to reach its Jan/San and Institutional customers.
