Barco NV, Together With Aldar Properties, Signs LED Installation Contract in Abu Dhabi
Barco NV announced another milestone in the Middle East, its sixth light emitting diode (LED) installation on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island together with Aldar Properties. During the weekend of October 31 and November 1, 2009, Barco LED displays will show spectators live action at the first Abu Dhabi Etihad Airways grand prix and, in the run-up to the grand prix, Barco announced a contract to install LED at the indoor theme park.
Barco NV Signs Contract With Cine Colombia S.A. To Supply 20 Barco DP-1500 Digital Projection Systems
Barco NV announced that it has expanded its partnership with Cine Colombia S.A. and will supply 20 Barco DP-1500 digital projection systems to multiple theater sites throughout Colombia. Each projector will be 2D/3D capable, and each will be configured with Barco's ACS-2048 alternate content switcher. Throughout the remainder of 2009, the first new Barco deployments will be placed in Cine Colombia sites in the major population centers of Bogota, Cali and Medellin. Starting in 2010, Cine Colombia will deploy additional Barco projection systems in the country's secondary markets of Cartagena, Barranquilla, Pereira, Armenia and Manizales.
St. Luke's International Hospital In Tokyo Installs Barco NV's Latest Multi-Modality Displays
Barco NV announced that it has received a significant order from GE Healthcare to supply Coronis Fusion 6MP DL diagnostic displays to St. Luke's International Hospital in Tokyo, Japan. The new displays will enable radiologists to visualize diverse clinical modalities on a single workstation, rather than on separate monitors. The six megapixel displays will be supplied through Toyo Corporation, the Company's local distributor in Japan.
