Arris Group, Inc. and Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast, announced the launch of an advertising platform using the ARRIS ConvergeMedia Virtual Interconnect (VIC) advertising solution. Using the ARRIS VIC, Spotlight can efficiently and reliably process ad schedules, verifications and ad copy from multiple providers, markets and time zones for network programming feeds. The Virtual Interconnect (VIC) is part of the advertising solution family in the ConvergeMedia Advertising platform. VIC helps affiliates maximize their advertising revenues, simplify ad operations and strengthen relationships with ad and media sources. VIC automatically merges schedules from multiple traffic and billing systems, using pre-defined business rules to resolve and manage schedule conflicts. High level and detailed monitoring tools allow for rapid trouble-shooting and system analysis. Real time access to reports allows for secure and effective delivery services for the operators, programmers and the ad agencies.

Arris Group, Inc. announced that for the fourth quarter of 2009, it expects revenues to be in the range of $265 to $285 million, with adjusted net income per diluted share in the range of $0.22 to $0.26 and GAAP net income per diluted share, in the range of $0.13 to $0.17. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts on an average are expecting the Company to report earnings per share (EPS) of $0.23 on revenue of $275 million for the same period.

Kabeltelevisie Noord-Oost Friesland, known as Kabel Noord, has selected the ARRIS DOCSIS 3.0 C4 CMTS platform to increase the data speeds it offers its 25,000 customers in the northeastern areas of Friesland, The Netherlands. Kabel Noord currently offers access to its own ISP, KNID, as well as those from two other Dutch MSOs, UPC and Ziggo, and intends to use the DOCSIS 3.0 C4 platform to consolidate the three services to upgrade and manage the various traffic flows from inside its network.

Arris Group, Inc. announced that that it has agreed to purchase the assets of Digeo, Inc., including its intellectual property portfolio, for a cash purchase price of approximately $20 million. The transaction is expected to close early in the fourth quarter of 2009.
