Dollar Tree, Inc. announced that it estimates sales for the fourth quarter of 2009 to be in the range of $1.49-$1.53 billion, based on low-to-mid single digit positive comparable store sales. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) are estimated to be in the range of $1.30-$1.39. Fiscal 2009 sales are now estimated to be in the range of $5.17-$5.21 billion and diluted EPS are expected to be $3.34-$3.43. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenue of $1.54 billion and EPS of $1.36 for the fourth quarter of 2009; EPS of $3.30 for fiscal 2009.

Dollar Tree, Inc. announced that for the third quarter of 2009, it estimates sales to be in the range of $1.19-$1.23 billion, based on low-to-mid single digit positive comparable store sales. Diluted earnings per share (EPS) are estimated to be in the range of $0.58 to $0.64. For fiscal 2009, the sales are now estimated to be in the range of $5.09 to $5.19 billion and diluted EPS are expected to be $3.10 to $3.25. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report EPS of $0.54 on revenue of $1.21billion for the third quarter of 2009; EPS of $3.01on revenue of $5.15 billion for fiscal 2009.
