Foster Wheeler AG. Receives Contract By KEDRION GROUP In Hungary

Foster Wheeler AG. announced that its Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded by KEDRION GROUP and its Hungarian-controlled HUMAN BIOPLAZMA LLC. a contract for engineering, procurement, construction management and commissioning/qualification supervision for the upgrading and expansion of a bulk plasma fractionation manufacturing facility at Gödöllö, Hungary. The Foster Wheeler contract value for this project was not disclosed. The contract consists of the upgrading and capacity expansion of an existing plasma fractionation plant in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), including the installation of a new production line. During the upgrading works, the existing line will remain in operation. The plant is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2011. 

 
Foster Wheeler AG. Joint Venture With WorleyParsons Awarded Feed Contract For Pluto LNG Expansion

Foster Wheeler AG. announced that a joint venture of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, with partner WorleyParsons Services Pty Ltd., has been awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract by Woodside for Train 2 and Train 3 of the Pluto liquefied natural gas (LNG) Project in Australia. The contract also includes an option for early EPCm services. The contract value for this award was not disclosed. The FEED is expected to be completed in the second half of 2010. 

 
Foster Wheeler AG. Completes Acquisition Of Assets From Atlas Engineering

Foster Wheeler AG. announced that its Global Engineering and Construction Group has completed an acquisition of the majority of the assets of Atlas Engineering, Inc., a Houston-based firm engaged primarily in engineering design, project and construction management services for upstream oil and natural gas production and processing. Foster Wheeler did not disclose the terms of the transaction. 

 
Foster Wheeler AG. To Supply Biomass-Fired Boiler Island In Poland

Foster Wheeler AG. announced that a subsidiary of its Global Power Group has been awarded a contract by ZE PAK S.A. for the design, supply and erection of a 55 MWe biomass-fired circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) boiler island for the Konin Power Station in Poland. Foster Wheeler has received a full notice to proceed on this contract. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Commercial operation of the new steam generator is scheduled for the first quarter of 2012. Foster Wheeler will design and supply the steam generator and auxiliary equipment, and will carry out the erection and commissioning of the boiler island. The steam generator will be designed to burn wood biomass and up to 20% agro biomass.

Foster Wheeler AG. announced that its subsidiary Foster Wheeler USA Corporation, part of its Global Engineering and Construction Group, has been awarded a detailed design contract by a confidential client for a chemicals project in the United States. The total installed cost for the project is estimated at $100 million.
