Generex Biotechnology Corporation announced it has received its first purchase order for Generex Oral-lyn from Continental Pharm Laboratories, a pharmaceutical products distributor in Algeria. The order consists of 10,000 canisters of Generex Oral-lyn which will be filled by the Company's Middle Eastern branch office, Generex MENA (Middle East and Northern Africa), located in Dubai Healthcare City. 

 
Generex Biotechnology Corporation Announces USFDA Price Approval For Generex Oral-lyn In Treatment IND Program

Generex Biotechnology Corporation announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted price approval in respect of the use of Generex Oral-lyn under the FDA's Treatment Investigational New Drug (IND) program. Generex previously announced that the FDA has granted approval for the treatment use of Generex Oral-lyn in patients with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes mellitus under the FDA's Treatment IND rules. This latest FDA approval will permit the Company to charge for the product to recover costs. 

 
Generex Biotechnology Corporation Opens Offices in Latvia-Latvian News Agency

Latvian News Agency reported that Generex Biotechnology Corporation has opened representative offices in Latvia. It is the Company's first office in Europe. After the medication registration process is over, the Company’s products will be exported to all over Europe from Latvia. The planned investment amount is USD 100,000 at this time, but if the Latvian offices of the company expand their operations, even more money could be invested. The Company chose to set up the offices in Latvia for several reasons, including the advantageous geographical location of the country and the availability of qualified personnel. 

 
Generex Biotechnology Corporation Presents Abstracts At Scientific Symposium In Europe

Generex Biotechnology Corporation announced it is presenting study results at the Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes being held in Vienna, Austria. An abstract entitled Management of Impaired Glucose Tolerance using Buccal Spray Insulin is a poster presentation. The abstract presents data supporting the conclusion that Generex Oral-lyn, the Company's oral insulin spray product, is a simple and valuable therapy for reducing postprandial hyperglycaemia in obese subjects with Impaired Glucose Tolerance. The results indicate that the treatment is safe and none of the study subjects experienced hypoglycaemia. The abstract's authors concluded that the use of insulin through an alternative route such as the buccal mucosa can represent a novel approach for treatment of postprandial hyperglycaemia. An abstract entitled Glucose RapidSpray: An Innovative Tool to Control Hypoglycaemia and Improve HbA1c in Children with Type 1 Diabetes is a poster presentation at the symposium. The authors of the abstract note that a more acceptable and practical tool to control and manage hypoglycaemia, especially in toddlers and young children, represents a very relevant therapeutic issue. The abstract presents data supporting the conclusion the Glucose RapidSpray, the Company's proprietary oral glucose spray product, is able not only to reduce the risk of hypoglycaemia but to improve overall metabolic control, as shown by a reduction of HbA1c.
