Griffin Land & Nurseries, Inc. announced that its landscape nursery business, Imperial Nurseries, Inc. (Imperial), has entered into an agreement for the lease of, and grant of an option to purchase, Imperial's Quincy, Florida production nursery to Tri-B Nursery, Inc. (Tri-B Nursery), a member of the Berry family of nurseries. A preliminary agreement for this transaction was announced several weeks ago. The agreement with Tri-B Nursery provides for a six-year lease of the Florida facility and grants Tri-B Nursery an option to purchase the facility at any time during the lease period at a price that has been agreed upon.

Griffin Land & Nurseries, Inc. announced that its real estate business, Griffin Land, closed on a mortgage of four of its industrial buildings in New England Tradeport, Griffin Land's industrial park in East Granby and Windsor, Connecticut, with People's United Bank. The new mortgage generated initial proceeds of $8.5 million and may be increased in increments up to an aggregate borrowing of $10.5 million if the currently vacant space in the buildings is leased within the next three years.

Griffin Land & Nurseries, Inc. announced that its landscape nursery business, Imperial Nurseries, Inc. (Imperial), has entered into a preliminary agreement for the lease of, and grant of an option to purchase, Imperial's Quincy, Florida production nursery to Tri-B Nursery, Inc., a member of the Berry family of nurseries. The preliminary agreement provides for up to a six year lease of the Florida facility, and allows for occupancy of a portion of the facility while a final agreement is being negotiated. The long term lease and purchase option are subject to the completion of a final lease agreement.
