BP Corporation Inc. Signs Contract Extension With Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC

Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC announced that it has signed a contract extension with BP Corporation Inc. to continue providing HughesNet Managed Network Services connecting BP's retail locations in the United States and in the European countries of the United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and Germany. The five-year extension to the current contract calls for the continued support and management of both wireline and wireless broadband technologies at over 16,000 current retail locations, including implementation of new sites as they come on line. 

 
Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC and HNS Finance Corp. Announces Proposed 9 1/2% Senior Notes Offering

Hughes Network Systems, LLC and its subsidiary, HNS Finance Corp., announced that they intend to offer $125.0 million aggregate principal amount of 9 1/2% senior notes due 2014. The notes will be offered in a private placement and will be guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by each of HNS' current and future domestic subsidiaries that guarantee any of HNS' indebtedness or indebtedness of other HNS subsidiary guarantors, including the indebtedness under HNS' revolving credit facility, unsecured term loan facility and existing 9 1/2% senior notes. The proposed 9 1/2% senior notes will be issued under a new indenture and will not be part of the same class as HNS' existing 9 1/2% senior notes. HNS and HNS Finance Corp. are subsidiaries of Hughes Communications Inc. The net proceeds of the offering are intended to be used for general corporate purposes, which could include working capital needs, corporate development opportunities (which may include acquisitions) and opportunistic satellite fleet expansion. 

 
Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC Announces Agreement With SkyTerra And TerreStar To Implement GMR1-3G Satellite Air Interface On Chipset For Wireless Handsets

Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC announced an agreement to develop and implement software that will power the satellite capability in SkyTerra's and TerreStar Network's integrated device chipsets. This software will enable the GMR1-3G satellite air interface standard to run side by side with cellular standards in a commercially available, software defined radio (SDR) chipset being developed for SkyTerra and TerreStar Networks by Infineon Technologies AG.

Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC, the global provider of broadband satellite networks and services, announced that the U.S. subsidiary of Telecomunicaciones Bantel C.A., a provider of satellite communications in Venezuela for over 18 years, has upgraded to the advanced Hughes HN System platform in providing Ku-band broadband services to Latin American markets. 

 
Defense Commissary Agency Contracts with E&E Enterprises Global for High-Availability Network Solution from Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC

E&E Enterprises Global, Inc., a company in telecommunications and information assurance services, announced that it has been selected by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to provide a HughesNet high-availability network solution to support DeCA commissaries worldwide. Hughes Communications Inc.'s Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), will provide the high-availability VPN service to E&E Enterprises Global as a subcontractor, utilizing its nationwide HughesNet broadband satellite service. The contract award is valued at $12 million and is for a term of one year, with three one-year options. Under the terms of the agreement, E&E Enterprises Global and Hughes will provide a turn-key commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) managed terrestrial and satellite broadband network solution.
