Eli Lilly Selects ICON To Oversee Its Clinical Data Management In Japan
ICON announced that it has signed an extension to its strategic agreement with Eli Lilly and Company to manage the Eli Lilly's clinical data management outside the US. This extension means that ICON will now also manage Lilly`s needs in Japan in addition to those in Europe, Canada, Latin America, Australia and Asia, which was originally agreed in November 2008. Lilly also selected ICON to manage clinical trial site set up and monitoring in Europe for Lilly managed studies in June 2009.
ICON Raises FY 2009 EPS Guidance
ICON raised its fiscal 2009 guidance and expects earnings per share (EPS) to be in the range of $1.48 - $1.52, excluding previously booked one time net charge. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to EPS of $1.16 for the same period.

ICON amended its fiscal 2009 guidance and expects revenue to be in the range of $880-$900 million and firmed its earnings per share (EPS) guidance, before one time net charges to be in the range of $1.38-$1.44. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to revenues of $916 million for the same period.
ICON Acquires Veeda Laboratories Limited
ICON announced that is has acquired Veeda Laboratories Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Veeda Clinical Research Group. Veeda Laboratories is a specialist provider of biomarker laboratory services to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
