Infinera Corp. Issues Q4 2009 Guidance Above Analysts' Estimates-Reuters

Reuters reported that Infinera Corp. expects to post a loss of $0.08-$0.09 a share (EPS), excluding items, on revenue of $86-$88 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts are expecting the Company to report a loss of $0.10, excluding items, on revenue of $82.5 million for the same period.

XO Communications Selects Infinera Corp.'s ILS2 Line System To Deploy Ultra-Long-Haul Nationwide Network Expansion

XO Communications announced its third nationwide network upgrade, which will more than double the capacity of the XO inter-city transport network. XO Communications has selected Infinera Corp.'s ILS2 line system to deploy the ultra-long-haul nationwide network expansion, which will deliver 160 wavelengths on a single fiber and create 1.6 Terabits/second (Tb/s) of additional optical capacity.

Infinera Corp. announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jagdeep Singh plans to step down as CEO on January 1, 2010 and become Executive Chairman of the Company and that Chief Operating Officer Tom Fallon will succeed Singh as President and CEO at that time.
