JetBlue Airways And Lufthansa Begin Codeshare Operations

JetBlue Airways and Lufthansa announced that they have launched the new partnership. The new relationship between JetBlue and Lufthansa expands the reach of both carriers, giving customers more choice in travel and providing JetBlue customers with new access to Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. 

 
Fenway Sports Group Announces JetBlue Airways As Official Airline of Boston College Athletics

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) announced that it has secured JetBlue Airways as the official airline of Boston College Athletics. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. JetBlue's sponsorship of the Eagles features fixed and electronic signage in Boston College athletic facilities including Alumni Stadium, home of Boston College football and Conte Forum, home of Boston College basketball and hockey. Additional sponsorship elements include on-field, on-court and on-ice promotions; a comprehensive online marketing program featuring rotating web banners and fixed advertising positions on bceagles.com; a branded email promotional campaign; and print advertisements in Boston College Athletic publications and in-game program guides. To celebrate the new partnership, JetBlue is also offering a 10%discount off all flights to or from Boston for travel through December 16, 2009. 

 
JetBlue Airways Announces New Service To Kingston

JetBlue Airways announced that it has begins new service to Kingston, Jamaica. The airline will serve Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport with daily nonstop service to/from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), with onward connecting service available to cities across the United States. 

 
JetBlue Airways Comments On Q4 2009, FY 2009 PRASM And RASM Guidance

JetBlue Airways announced that for the fourth quarter of 2009, it expects to report an operating margin between 6%-8%. Pre-tax margin for the quarter is expected to be between breakeven to2%. PRASM is expected to decrease between 3% and 6% year over year. RASM is expected to decrease between 3%-6% year over year. CASM is expected to decrease between 3%-5% over the year-ago period. Excluding fuel, CASM in the second quarter is expected to increase between 5% and 7% year over year. Capacity is expected to decrease between 5%-7% in the fourth quarter and stage length is expected to increase roughly 7% over the same period last year. For fiscal 2009, JetBlue expects to report an operating margin between 7% and 9%. Pre-tax margin is expected to be between 2%-4%. PRASM for the full year is expected to decrease between 4%-7% year over year. RASM is expected to decrease between 2%-5% year over year. CASM for the full year is expected to decrease between 7%-9% over full year 2008. Excluding fuel, CASM in 2009 is expected to increase between 7% and 9% year over year. Capacity for the full year 2009 is expected to be in a range of negative 1% to positive 1% compared to 2008 and stage length is expected to decrease about 4% over full year 2008. 

 
Deutsche Lufthansa AG and JetBlue Airways Corporation Launch New Codeshare Flights

Deutsche Lufthansa AG announced that from November 11, 2009, its customers can book the new codeshare flights from New York and Boston to twelve US cities with Lufthansa's cooperation partner JetBlue Airways Corporation.
