Mannatech, Inc. Secures Second Injunction
Mannatech, Inc. announced that it has secured a second injunction in its ongoing efforts to protect its patented glyconutrient products Ambrotose complex and Advanced Ambrotose formula. The United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, has entered a Final Judgment and Permanent Injunction against Boston Mountain Laboratories, Inc., which bans Boston Mountain Laboratories from manufacturing or selling BML Glyconutrient Formula, Glyco-8, Glycoessentials, Glyco-Essence, Glyconutrients, MG-3, and MG-3c for the duration of Mannatech`s U.S. Patents 6,929,807; 7,157,431; 7,196,064; 7,199,104; and 7,202,220. The courts have recognized that Mannatech is the rightful owner of the patented technology concerning "Compositions of Plant Technology as Dietary Supplements." As part of the final judgment in this case, Boston Mountain Laboratories, plus its officers, agents, employees, and any persons acting in concert or participation with the company, are prohibited from making, using, selling, or otherwise distributing within the United States any of the accused products or any colorable imitations thereof.

Mannatech, Inc. announced the official launch of its newest product, Essential Source Omega-3. An ultra-pure omega-3 supplement, Essential Source Omega-3 provides EPA/DHA essential fatty acids, so-called because they cannot be synthesized by the body and are only obtained through diet.3 Essential Source Omega-3 will initially be available in the United States and South Africa and is scheduled to be available globally by December 2009.

Study Finds Mannatech, Inc's Ambrotose Complex Improves Visual Discrimination And Working Memory In Healthy Young Adults
Mannatech, Inc. announced the results of a study, showing that a single one-tablespoon serving of Ambrotose complex significantly improved visual discrimination and working memory. Drs. Atiya N. Stancil and Leslie H. Hicks, both of Howard University in Washington, D.C., published the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study investigating the impact of Ambrotose complex on the brain function of 62 healthy young adults. The results of this study are impressive because they show significant improvement in the perceptual capabilities of healthy adults, which indicates that Ambrotose complex can benefit everyone, said Dr. Stancil.
Study Finds Mannatech, Inc.'s OsoLean Powder May Reduce Waist Circumference And Appetite In Overweight Adults
Mannatech, Inc. announced the results of a preliminary study indicating Mannatech`s OsoLean powder, when supplemented with proper diet and exercise, may result in decreased weight, BMI and waist circumference in healthy, overweight adults. This preliminary, open-label, 8-week study of 112 overweight adults, published March 16 in The Open Nutraceuticals Journal demonstrated that daily intake of OsoLean powder appeared to reduce appetite, support weight loss and reduce waist circumference. After being advised to restrict their daily caloric intake and add the supplement to the beverage of their choice before breakfast and dinner, subjects who participated in the study also completed quality of life questionnaires and reported better appetite control and improved energy levels by the end of the study. The study was conducted by Mannatech scientists in collaboration with researchers in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
