ePlus, Inc. Receives Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium Contract
ePlus, Inc. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology inc., has been selected by the Massachusetts Higher Education Consortium (MHEC) to provide information technology products and services under a new contract, MC10-F05. ePlus is part of a select group of resellers under this contract to provision products to MHEC members, which represent 89 member schools throughout New England higher education as well as public television, libraries, private secondary institutions, and autonomous state agencies. The agreement began in September 2009, and runs through June 2011. The MHEC contract covers numerous product lines from various manufacturers, including Barracuda, Belkin, Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP, IronPort, Logitech, Quantum, Sophos, and Targus. ePlus is authorized to provide a variety of computer equipment and supplies under the contract to MHEC members, including storage, networking, security devices, IP telephony, telecommunications, peripherals and accessories, and maintenance.

ePlus, Inc. Announces Stock Repurchase Program
ePlus, Inc. announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the Company to repurchase up to 500,000 shares of the Company's outstanding common stock over a 12 month period commencing on September 16, 2009. The Company's current repurchase plan is scheduled to expire on September 15, 2009. The purchases may be made from time to time in the open market, or in privately negotiated transactions, subject to availability. Any repurchased shares will have the status of treasury shares and may be used, if and when needed, for general corporate purposes. The Company has no obligation to repurchase shares under the authorization, and the timing, actual number and value of the shares which are repurchased will be at the discretion of management and will depend on a number of factors, including the price of the Company's common stock. The Company may suspend or discontinue repurchases at any time.
ePlus, Inc.'s Subsidiary Receives State Of Connecticut Peripherals Contract
ePlus, Inc. announced that its its wholly owned subsidiary, ePlus Technology inc., has been selected by the State of Connecticut to provide computer peripheral equipment under a newly awarded contract. ePlus will be the exclusive supplier for all using state agencies, political subdivisions, municipalities, non-profits, and educational entities for a variety of peripherals, including fixed and removable drives, input and output devices, system upgrades, memory, networking and mobile networking, power, wiring and cabling and monitors. The three-year agreement began in June 2009. In support of this contract, ePlus will provide each state entity with access to its secure web portal, OneSource IT.

ePlus, Inc. announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded it a patent in the content related area of the electronic procurement field. U.S. Patent No. 7,526,494 entitled System and Method for User Creation and Direction of a Rich-Content Life-Cycle assists in the development of rich-content (i.e., enriched, enhanced, and extended information) to permit the capture, development, and automated update of a rich content repository in systems that utilize e-catalogs.
