Dow Jones reported that Progress Software Corp. will cut its global work force by 12% to 14% as the business-software maker moves to restructure its sales. The Company's job cuts were part of a series of initiatives to position Progress for long-term growth and improved profitability. Progress said the job cuts would be across all functions and geographies and result in the consolidation of some offices.

The solution from Progress Software enables BAA to provide airport integration capabilities using the Sonic ESB product. This includes the creation of reusable integration services for new T5 systems and of specialist adaptors for the integration of existing key operational BAA systems, such as the Airport Operational Database Integration. BAA selected the Sonic ESB product for Terminal 5 to achieve reliable integration of events in order to provide the best passenger experience possible.
