According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenue of $2.781 billion, EPS of $2.42 for fiscal 2010.

Rent-A-Center, Inc. announced that for fourth quarter of 2009, it expects revenue to be in the range of $662-$677 million, same store sales are expected to be in the range of down 3% to down 5% and diluted earnings per share (EPS) to be in the range of $0.55-$0.61. For fiscal 2010, it expects revenue to be in the range of $2.736-$2.796 billion, same store sales are expected to be flat and diluted EPS to be in the range of $2.30-$2.50. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenue of $692 million and EPS of $0.57 for fourth quarter of 2009; revenue of $2.850 billion and EPS of $2.50 for fiscal 2010.

Eolas Technologies Inc. announced a Texas federal lawsuit filed to assert the company's intellectual property rights based on two patents, including one that has passed two separate reexaminations at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and resulted in a $565 million federal court judgment in 2004. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, includes claims related to two Eolas patents, U.S. Patent No. 5,838,906 (906 Patent) and U.S. Patent No. 7,599,985 (985 Patent). The companies named as defendants include Adobe Systems, Amazon.com; Apple Inc.; Argosy Publishing Inc.; Blockbuster Inc. ; CDW Corp.; Citigroup Inc.; eBay Inc.; Frito-Lay Inc. (a subsidiary of Purchase, PepsiCo Inc.); The Go Daddy Group Inc.; Google Inc.; J.C. Penney Co. Inc.; JPMorgan Chase & Co.; New Frontier Media Inc.; Office Depot Inc.; Perot Systems Corp.; Playboy Enterprises International Inc.; Rent-A-Center, Inc.; Staples, Inc.; Sun Microsystems Inc.; Texas Instruments ; Yahoo! Inc.; and YouTube LLC, a subsidiary of Google Inc.

Rent-A-Center, Inc. raised its fiscal 2009 diluted earnings per share (EPS) outlook to $2.32 to $2.42. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report EPS of $2.25 for the same period.

Rent-A-Center, Inc. announced that it has increased the lower end of its previous fiscal 2009 earnings guidance with diluted earnings per share (EPS) now at $2.18-$2.32. The Company expects total revenues for the second quarter 2009 to be in the range of $679-$694 million, total store revenues to be in the range of $670-$685 million and same store sales to be in the range down 4% to down 6%. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report EPS of $2.18 for fiscal 2009; revenue of $709 million for the second quarter 2009.
