Ryanair Holdings PLC Announces Two New Aircraft and 13 New Routes
Ryanair Holdings PLC announced that, from March 2010, it will base two new aircraft (four in total), open 13 new routes (34 in total) and deliver 2m passengers per annum at Trapani, Sicily which will sustain 2,000 local jobs. The new routes to Billund, Bratislava, Cagliari, Eindhoven, Genoa, Gothenburg, Ibiza, Karlsruhe (Baden-Baden), Krakow, Maastricht, Memmingen, Trieste and Valencia, beginning in March, and increased frequencies on three existing routes to Brussels (Charleroi), Frankfurt (Hahn) and Dusseldorf (Weeze) will deliver 2m passengers p.a. and sustain 2,000 jobs in Trapani. Routes from Trapani to Bari, Brindisi and Madrid will continue to operate throughout the winter.
Ryanair Holdings plc to Start 16 Routes from Moss in Norway in March 2010-Nordic Business Report
Nordic Business Report reported that Ryanair Holdings plc will launch 16 routes from Moss airport in Rygge, southeastern Norway, in March 2010. After that, Ryanair Holdings plc will have 22 routes and 100 weekly flights to and from Moss. New destinations will include Berlin, Dusseldorf, Eindhoven, Malaga, Valencia, Aarhus, Riga, Venice and Dublin. Ryanair will have three aircraft, stationed in Rygge and will make marketing investments of USD 200 million, related to the base.

Ryanair Holdings PLC announced that it will invest an additional $210 million in UK tourism as it bases new aircraft in Bristol (up one to five) and Liverpool (up two to eight), from March 28, and opens ten new routes from Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow (Prestwick) and Liverpool Airports, from February next, which will deliver 400,000 additional passengers p.a. and sustain 400 new jobs at these airports in 2010.
Ryanair Holdings plc To Close Six Basel Routes From December 2-DJ
Dow Jones reported that Ryanair Holdings plc will close its six Basel routes from December 2 after Basel Airport refused to lower its high airport charges to reflect the lower fares being paid by passengers in the current recession. Move will result in the loss of 18 weekly Basel flights, 250,000 passengers per annum and up to 250 local jobs. Routes to/from Alicante, Cagliari, London (Stansted), Marseille, Porto and Stockholm (Skavsta) will cease from December 2. Passengers affected will be provided with a full refund.

Ryanair Holdings plc announced that it has reaffirmed its fiscal 2010 guidance. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report net profit of EUR271 million for fiscal 2010.
