Silicon Laboratories Inc. announced that for fourth quarter of 2009, it expects revenue to be $124 million to $129 million, a 25% to 30% increase over the same period last year. In aggregate, second half of 2009 revenue is projected to be up by nearly 20% versus the second half of 2008. The Company also announced that for fourth quarter of 2009, it expects earnings per share (EPS) on a GAAP basis to be $0.40 to $0.43 and non-GAAP basis to be $0.60 to $0.63. Silicon Laboratories Inc. Raises Q3 2009 Guidance
Silicon Laboratories Inc. announced it now expects third quarter 2009 revenue to be up 18% to 21% sequentially to a record $123 to $126 million, an increase from the $114 to $119 million range previously forecasted, and above quarterly peak revenue levels in 2008. The revenue upside is due to better than expected demand for both broadcast audio and MCU products. The earnings per share estimates for the third quarter of 2009 have increased by about $0.10 versus prior guidance. GAAP diluted earnings per share for the third quarter of 2009 are now expected to increase to $0.40 to $0.42 compared to previous guidance of $0.27 to $0.32, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share are now expected to increase to $0.60 to $0.62 compared to previous guidance of $0.48 to $0.53. Non-GAAP earnings per share exclude anticipated non-cash charges for stock compensation expenses. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts on an average were expecting the Company to report non-GAAP EPS of $0.49 on revenue of $116 million for the same period.
