Morrisons Supermarkets Selects S1 Corporation To Support IT Transformation Program
S1 Corporation announced that Morrisons, the UK's retailer, has chosen the S1 Retail Payments solution for all card payment processing originating in its stores and fuel filling stations, which are located at more than 380 sites. The S1 solution will acquire, process, and consolidate card payment transactions originating from over 12,000 points-of-sale. The selection of S1 is part of Morrisons' major IT investment program, which involves upgrading its systems to a modern, open architecture. S1's multi channel payments architecture will enable Morrisons to migrate existing disparate payments channels for in-store tills, self check-out, cafes and dry cleaning, as well as fuel filling stations and unattended fuel payments into a single, consolidated environment. Morrisons will also implement S1's central back-office payments component, which provides comprehensive management information and reporting. The system includes improved reconciliation and settlement capabilities and provides back-office staff with a single, real-time, end-to-end view of all transactions.
