i365, Inc. A Seagate Technology Company, Collaborates On Multi-Platform, Cloud-Connected Data Protection Solution With Microsoft Corp.

i365, Inc., a Seagate Technology company announced a collaboration with Microsoft Corp. on development of a heterogeneous solution that will allow IT managers to extend Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager (DPM) 2010 across non-Microsoft platforms and into the cloud, using i365`s EVault data protection software and cloud-connected storage solutions infrastructure. The combined solution will be available in several configurations. The first configuration will include an appliance-based backup solution, powered by Seagate technology, which is scheduled for delivery in first half of 2010, with the release to manufacturing of DPM 2010. This collaboration includes both technology and joint go-to-market components. i365 and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, announced that it is a Platinum Sponsor of the Microsoft Efficiency Launch. As a platinum sponsor, i365 is partnering with Microsoft Corp. to support the introduction of Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and communicate the benefits of these new products to its customers. i365`s data protection and disaster recovery solutions are optimized for the Microsoft platform and i365 is working closely with Microsoft Corp. to deliver improved performance and enhance a user`s ability to navigate, search, visualize and interact with data. 

 
Seagate Technology Issues Q2 2010 Revenue Guidance In Line With Analysts' Estimates

Seagate Technology announced that for second quarter of 2010, it expects revenue to be approximately $2.75-$2.85 billion. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenues of $2.75 billion for the same period. 

 
LGC Skyrota Wind Energy Corp. Purchases Facility From Seagate Technology-DJ

Dow Jones reported that LGC Skyrota Wind Energy Corp. has completed the purchase of a fully equipped facility that enhances the capabilities and growth prospects of its large turbine maintenance and small-turbine development divisions. The 180,000 square feet facility, located near the Company's former operations in Limavady, Northern Ireland, was purchased from Seagate Technology for CAD3.0 million (GBP1.65 million). 

 
Seagate Technology Sees Q1 2010 Revenue Slightly Above High End Of Prior Guidance Range

Seagate Technology announced that for the first fiscal quarter of 2010, it now expects revenue to be at or slightly above the high end of its original guidance of $2.4 billion-$2.6 billion. According to Reuters Estimates, analysts were expecting the Company to report revenue of $2.5 billion for the same period. The Company further announced that, in the event OEM demand is stronger than it anticipate during the last two weeks of the quarter, revenue for the first quarter of 2010 could be greater than its revised guidance.

Seagate Technology's i365, Inc. announced that Medical Business Service, Inc. has moved to i365`s EVault Plug-n-Protect appliance for its complete data protection and recovery capabilities. MBS chose EVault Plug-n-Protect, an all-in-one backup and recovery appliance.
