Audiovox Corp. To Supply Chrysler Dealers With First OE Release Of FLO TV Auto Entertainment System
Audiovox Corp. and FLO TV Incorporated, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated announced that Audiovox will begin supplying Chrysler Dealers through Mopar with the first OE hardware interface that will deliver FLO TV Auto Entertainment to select Chrysler 2010 vehicles and future vehicles. Audiovox will supply the hardware for the FLO TV Auto Entertainment system that integrates with the vehicles' existing entertainment systems and Mopar 7-inch DVD screen systems.
Audiovox Corp. Subsidiary Acquires SCHWAIGER
Audiovox Corp. announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Audiovox German Holdings GmbH, has completed the acquisition of SCHWAIGER, a provider of consumer electronics accessories as well as SAT and receiver technologies in Germany. As a result of this acquisition, Audiovox will add a significant number of products in the following categories: terrestrial antennas, amplifiers and accessories, antenna outlets and accessories, switches, cables, installation materials, measuring gear and power supplies, audio/video accessories, satellite-receiving components and more. The total purchase price is at the current rate, approximately $4.3 million (EUR3 million).

Audiovox Corp. announced that it has filed a complaint for patent infringement in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York against Vizualogic, a division of TMI Products, Inc. This action alleges infringement on two of Audiovox Corporation's U.S. Patents - Nos. 5,775,762 and 7,245,274 which apply to all in one automotive overhead video systems and headrest mounted, rear seat entertainment systems for automobiles. These patents protect Audiovox's commercially successful line of overhead and headrest mounted, rear seat automobile entertainment systems.
