ViaSat Inc. announced that it has been selected by BAE Systems Australia to provide satellite ground stations for a high-speed upgrade to Australian Defence Force (ADF) satellite communications. The ViaSat X-band and Ka-band satellite antenna systems are part of a network that is designed to provide Australian forces with enhanced access to the Australian Defence Wide Area Network, ADF headquarters, and support elements. The new terminals will be installed at the ADF Satellite Ground Station in Western Australia (SGS-West).

ViaSat Inc. announced that ViaSat and WildBlue Communications Inc. have been granted early termination by the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice of the mandatory waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended (HSR), in connection with the previously announced ViaSat acquisition of WildBlue Communications Inc. The parties continue to expect the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of ViaSat Inc`s 2010 fiscal year, which ends April 2, 2010.
ViaSat Inc. Announces Pricing of $275 Million In Senior Unsecured Notes
ViaSat Inc. announced that it has priced its offering of $275 million in aggregate principal amount of 8.875% senior unsecured notes due 2016. The notes were offered and sold to qualified institutional buyers in the United States pursuant to Rule 144A and outside the United States pursuant to Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The notes will have an interest rate of 8.875% per annum and will be issued at a price equal to 98.757% of their face value. The closing of the sale of the notes, is expected to occur on October 22, 2009. The notes will be guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by certain of ViaSat`s existing and future subsidiaries.

ViaSat Inc. announced that it intends to commence an offering of $250 million in aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes due 2016, subject to market and other conditions. The notes will be offered and sold to qualified institutional buyers in the United States pursuant to Rule 144A and outside the United States pursuant to Regulation S under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The notes will bear interest at a rate to be determined by negotiations between ViaSat and the initial purchasers and will be guaranteed on a senior unsecured basis by certain of the Company's existing and future subsidiaries.
ViaSat Inc. To Supply Ka-band Networking Equipment And Operations Support For Yahsat High-Speed Internet Access
ViaSat Inc. announced that it has received a $46 million contract award from Star Satellite Communications Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PrJSC (Yahsat), for SurfBeam 2 network infrastructure and initial customer premises terminals. The equipment will power an advanced new high-speed Internet access service called YahClick. Under the contract, ViaSat will deliver and install four complete satellite broadband gateways, provide equipment and installation for a network control center, supply a pilot production quantity of user terminals, and support Yahsat with network operations and maintenance services.
