Zygo Corporation Receives Order for Advanced Helmet Mounted Displays

Zygo Corporation announced that its Optical Systems Division has been awarded a multi-million dollar manufacturing contract to produce Advanced Helmet Mounted Displays (AHMD) for the L-3 Communications Link Simulation and Training division in support of the US Air Force F-16 aircrew training program.

Zygo Corporation announced that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) J. Bruce Robinson, will be retiring after leading the Company for over ten years. Mr. Robinson plans to transition from his current role as CEO and director into a non-director consulting position with Zygo. The transition is expected to occur during the second half of Zygo's current fiscal year. 

 
Zygo Corporation and Toho Announce Strategic Business Partnership

Zygo Corporation and Toho Technology Corporation of Nagoya, Japan announced a strategic business partnership, pursuant to which Toho will have the exclusive right to ZYGO's technology in the manufacturing and distribution of products to the large substrate Flat Panel Display (FPD) market. 

 
Nanometrics, Inc. and Zygo Corporation Announces Strategic Business Partnership

Nanometrics, Inc. and Zygo Corporation announced that Nanometrics has purchased inventory and certain other assets relating to Zygo's Semiconductor Solutions business and that the two companies have entered into a supply agreement. Under an exclusive OEM supply agreement, Zygo will provide interferometer sensors to Nanometrics for incorporation into the Unifire line of products as well as Nanometrics` family of automated metrology systems. The arrangement is structured as an asset purchase and exclusive OEM supply agreement aimed at wafer-based markets. Nanometrics will assume all inventory, backlog and customer sales and support responsibilities and Zygo will provide measurement sensors for integration by Nanometrics. In addition to the applications currently addressed by Nanometrics and Zygo products, the business partnership allows for the joint development of additional technology solutions targeted at the semiconductor and related industries. 

 
Zygo Corporation's UniFire 7900 Selected For Manufacturing Lithography Process Control

Zygo Corporation announced that it has received a follow-on order from a North American semiconductor manufacturer to use ZYGO's UniFire 7900 metrology system for high volume manufacturing process control. The system, which is expected to be part of a multi-million dollar commitment, will be used for measuring critical dimensions (CD) and overlay/registration at the 32nm node. Delivery is scheduled to occur in the second quarter of this calendar year.
