Grandi, Paolo 

Mr. Paolo Maria Vittorio Grandi serves as Chief Governance officer of Intesa Sanpaolo SpA since May 21, 2013. He is in charge - inter alia - of the secretariats to the Supervisory Board and the Management Board, the relationship with supervisors, the Corporate Affairs Department, the Legal Department, and the M&A Department. He graduated “cum laude” in Political Science at Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milano and completed postgraduate studies at the International Centre for Monetary and Banking Studies in Geneva. From 1979 to 1982, he worked at the Headquarters of Credito Italiano. In 1982, he joined Mediocredito Lombardo where, from 1990, he organised and developed the activities of the bank and its parent company Cariplo in the merchant banking business as head of private equity, acquisition finance and corporate finance activities. In December 2000, he moved to Banca Intesa as co-head of the Private Equity Department. In June 2002, he became responsible for the Shareholdings Department, reporting directly to the CEO of Banca Intesa. Since January 2007, he has been in charge of the General Secretariat to the Supervisory Board of Intesa Sanpaolo, a position that reports directly to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He is currently a board member of the following companies: Banca Prossima (Chairman since 16 October 2007), Intesa Sanpaolo Holding International SA Lussemburgo (Chairman since 22 March 2004), Banca IMI (since 23 April 2013), Banca CR Firenze (board director and Executive Committee member since 3 March 2008), Intesa Sanpaolo Vita, previously EurizonVita (since 5 March 2009), ABI - the Italian Banking Association (since 10 July 2014), Istituto Europeo di Oncologia (since 20 April 2006), SIA (since 20 February 2004), Palladio Finanziaria (since 7 May 2014), Consorzio PAN (since 15 March 2004).
