Brief Biography
Mr. James Wyndham John Hughes-Hallett is Non-Executive Director of Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. He has served as Chairman of the Board from June 1999 to December 2004. He is Chairman of John Swire & Sons Limited and a Director of Swire Pacific Limited, Swire Properties Limited and Steamships Trading Company Limited. He is also a Director of HSBC Holdings plc. He joined the Swire group in 1976 and has worked with the group in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and London. He holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in English from Oxford University.
