Ms. Laura J. Schumacher is Executive Vice President - Business Development, External Affairs, General Counsel of AbbVie Inc. She has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Abbott since 2007 and Abbott's Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and General Counsel from 2005 to 2007. Ms. Schumacher is also responsible for Abbott's licensing and acquisitions function and its Office of Ethics and Compliance. Prior to her appointment as General Counsel, Ms. Schumacher headed Abbott's litigation department. Ms. Schumacher became a corporate officer of Abbott in 2003. Ms. Schumacher joined Abbott in 1990.
