Charles R. Wesley serves as Executive Vice President of Managing General Partner. He became a Director of MGP in January 2009 and was elected Executive Vice President of MGP effective March 1, 2009. Mr. Wesley had been Senior Vice President – Operations since August 1996. He joined the company in 1974 when he began working for Webster County Coal Corporation as an engineering co-op student. In 1992, Mr. Wesley was named Vice President – Operations for Mettiki Coal Corporation. He has served the industry as past President of the West Kentucky Mining Institute and National Mine Rescue Association Post 11, and he has served on the Board of Directors of the Kentucky Mining Institute. Mr. Wesley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
