Ms. Miriam Gonzalez Durantez has served as Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Acciona SA since June 10, 2010. She has acted as Member of the Company's Audit Committee since November 3, 2011. She served for seven years as Senior Adviser to the Cabinet for EU External Relations Commissioners Chris Patten and Benita Ferrero-Waldner and as Senior Policy Adviser to the Foreign Office during the UK tenure of the EU Presidency. She was appointed as Head of Trade Law at DLA Piper (London/Brussels) in 2006. In the past, she acted as Policy Adviser to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (London) from 2005 to 2006, Senior Adviser in the Cabinet of EU Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner (External Relations) from 2004 to 2005, in Brussels, Senior Adviser in the Cabinet of EU Commissioner Lord Chris Patten (External Relations) in Brussels from 1999 to 2004, Lead EU Negotiator in WTO negotiations (Brussels) from 1999 to 2004, Regulatory Analyst, BT (Brussels) from 1994 to 1995 and European Public Policy Adviser (EPPA) in Brussels from 1993 to 1994. She holds a Bachelors degree in Law from Universidad de Valladolid (1986-1991) and a Masters degree from College d’Europe Bruges (1991-1993). She was Senior Associate Member of St. Anthony's College, Oxford University from 2004 to 2005.
