Mr. Timothy C. Baker is Non-Executive Independent Director of Antofagasta plc. He has mining operational experience, across North and South America and Africa. He was previously executive vice-president and chief operating officer at Kinross Gold Corporation, and prior to that was executive general manager of Placer Dome Chile. He has previously managed mining operations in Chile, the United States, Tanzania and Venezuela and held geological and production roles in Kenya and Liberia. He has a B.Sc. in Geology from Edinburgh University. He is a director of Augusta Resource Corporation, Eldorado Gold Corporation and Pacific Rim Mining Corporation.
